Deep Tissue and Swedish Massage

The two best-known techniques used in western Massage. Swedish is generally performed with light pressure. It is used especially for relaxation, relief of muscular tension, and improvement of circulation and range of motion. Deep Tissue Massage can release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow deep strokes and deep pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the grain of muscles, tendons and fascia. It also focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It can help reduce pain, increase range of motion, relieve muscle spasms and improve circulation.

Therapeutic Massage

This massage technique can be a precursor to Deep Tissue, Therapeutic is a soft tissue massage of varying strength which improves the functioning of the muscular, circulatory, lymphatic, skeletal and nervous systems. At Sanity we can incorporate many of the stretching moves used in Traditional Thai Massage to heighten the therapeutic value of your massage.

Couples Massage

Sanity Thai Spa has an ideal space for a relaxing Couples Massage. Our certified therapists will work in tandem on you and your guest, using the same or different techniques and leaving you both feeling great. Early to bed or a night on the town is up to you!

Prenatal and Sports Massage

Prenatal Massage combines elements of Swedish and Therapeutic to reduce muscle tension and improve lymphatic and blood circulation. This combination can help reduce anxiety, relieve muscle aches and joint pains and thereby improve labor outcomes. 

Sports Massage is close to Deep Tissue but is typically more targeted, focusing on the specific area(s) of injury or repetitive sprain or strain. Sports Massage aims to improve circulation generally and encourage the removal of waste products to help relax the body.

Cancelation Policy

While we understand that lives are busy and schedules can change and we will try to accommodate rescheduling, a cancellation or no-show deprives us of two opportunities. If you cancel at least 24 hours in advance of your appointed start time we appreciate you letting us know and there is no charge. Between 24 and 3 hours before your start time the fee is $25 and for cancellations less than 3 hours before your start time or for no-shows the fee is $50. Please note that Gift Certificate and Package sales are final and non-refundable. Transfer of Gift Certificates or Package hours is at the discretion and subject to the approval of Sanity Thai Spa. If you decide our style of massage is not for you please let us know within the first 15 minutes of your appointment and the appointment will be canceled at no charge.
